On September 15, 2026, in Hanoi, C.P. Vietnam Corporation (C.P. Vietnam) and Bach Mai Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), expanding collaboration across a range of healthcare and social initiatives, with a focus on employee healthcare, community health, social work, and support for underprivileged patients.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of C.P. Group, during the C.P. Group leadership’s visit to Vietnam.

Expanding collaboration for patients and the community

The MoU establishes a long-term framework for cooperation between C.P. Vietnam and Bach Mai Hospital across a range of meaningful and practical programs for employees, patients, and the community.

For healthcare, the two parties plan to collaborate on periodic health checkups, specialist consultations, screening programs, health counseling, vaccination, and other appropriate healthcare programs for employees and other beneficiaries registered or referred by C.P. Vietnam.

For community-focused initiatives, the two parties will work together to promote voluntary blood donation, as well as raise awareness and encourage voluntary organ and human tissue donation in accordance with applicable laws. C.P. Vietnam and Bach Mai Hospital will also collaborate on community healthcare initiatives, including medical examinations, consultations, screening, and health education, as well as programs focused on nutrition, the prevention of non-communicable diseases, and mental health. The partnership will also extend to humanitarian and relief programs, disaster and epidemic response, and medical support for people living in disadvantaged areas.

The partnership will also focus on social services and support for patients facing difficult circumstances. Depending on each specific program, C.P. Vietnam may provide meals, essential supplies, financial assistance, and other forms of support as appropriate; participate in Bach Mai Hospital’s charitable and social welfare programs; and support initiatives aimed at improving patients’ and their families’ living conditions, care experience, and emotional well-being.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Giap, Vice Director of Bach Mai Hospital, expressed the hospital’s appreciation for C.P. Vietnam’s practical contributions to community initiatives, particularly its efforts to promote voluntary blood donation.

According to the Vice Director of Bach Mai Hospital, the signing of the MoU “Joining Hands for Community Health” marks a new chapter in the relationship between the two organizations, moving beyond individual collaborative activities toward a long-term partnership with clear objectives and implementation mechanisms.

“I hope that one year from today, we will be able to measure the success of our partnership through the values we have created, how many patients we have supported and how many research we have carried out.

At Bach Mai Hospital, Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of C.P. Group, together with the Group’s leadership team and C.P. Vietnam’s leadership, visited the hospital’s permanent blood donation center to learn about its blood donation and donor care operations and interact with blood donors. The center was renovated and upgraded with support from C.P. Vietnam and officially began operations on August 11, 2026.

The MoU with Bach Mai Hospital builds on C.P. Vietnam’s long-standing efforts to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities and create sustainable value for people and communities. In healthcare, the company has worked with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion for many years through the “Red Journey” blood donation campaign and other voluntary blood donation initiatives, contributing to the collection of more than one million units of blood.

C.P. Vietnam has also supported the ““Young Doctors Following Uncle Ho’s Teaching: Volunteering for Community Health” program since 2015. C.P. Vietnam volunteers have supported medical teams at health examination sites, helping provide healthcare services to former youth volunteers, families of people who have made contributions to the country, and people facing difficult circumstances.
