C.P. Vietnam partners with the next generation to shape the future of agriculture

To mark the 70th anniversary of Vietnam National University of Agriculture, C.P. Vietnam participated in a series of activities connecting education, science and technology, and business, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce for modern agriculture.

On October 10, 2026, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA) held a ceremony in Hanoi to celebrate its 70th anniversary (1956-2026) and was honored with the First-Class Labor Order. C.P. Vietnam attended the ceremony and took part in a series of engagement activities with the university and its students on October 9–10, 2026.

Through dialogue sessions, scholarship presentations and exchanges with academic institutions, C.P. Vietnam continues to demonstrate its commitment to workforce development, the application of science and technology, and stronger connections between academic institutions and real-world agricultural production.

Modern Technology Must Be Grounded in Real-World Production

A key highlight of the program was the conference titled “70 Years of Vietnam National University of Agriculture: Universities and Businesses Working Together to Shape the Future,” held on the afternoon of October 9 under the theme “Strategic Dialogue on Human Resources, Research and Innovation.”

The conference brought together representatives from government agencies, academia and the business community to discuss the need to develop a highly skilled workforce, advance the application of science and technology, and foster innovation to strengthen competitiveness and support the development of modern, green and sustainable agriculture.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Senior Vice President of C.P. Vietnam, shared insights drawn from the company’s practical experience in the agriculture and food sector.

According to Mr. Tuan, agriculture is becoming increasingly interconnected with science, engineering, data and technology. However, technology can deliver real value only when it is suited to production conditions and can be applied effectively in practice. At C.P. Vietnam, much of its livestock farming operations are carried out through partnerships with farmers. The company therefore believes that technological innovation must be grounded in real-world production and go hand in hand with support for farmers. By drawing on advanced technologies from across the global C.P. network, the company focuses on selecting, testing and adapting solutions before gradually expanding their application in Vietnam.

Alongside technology, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan also emphasized the role of human resources in transforming the agricultural sector. In addition to professional knowledge, students need to proactively gain hands-on experience, strengthen their data analysis skills, and familiarize themselves with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and automation.

Based on its operational and recruitment experience, C.P. Vietnam has observed increasingly diverse workforce needs across the agriculture and food sectors. Opportunities now extend beyond livestock production and veterinary medicine to include food technology, agricultural engineering, agricultural economics, and many other related fields. This highlights the need for closer alignment between academic curricula, scientific research, and the practical needs of businesses.

As part of the anniversary activities, C.P. Vietnam also presented scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic year, encouraging students in their studies and research while supporting the younger generation as they pursue their career goals.

At the event, representatives of C.P. Vietnam, the university, and the business community also took part in a commitment ceremony under the message “One Ecosystem, One Shared Goal, Shaping the Future Together,” reflecting their shared commitment to strengthening collaboration in education, research, and innovation.

For C.P. Vietnam, partnering with educational institutions provides an opportunity to share practical experience and help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the demands of modern production environments. Through these collaborative initiatives, the company aims to create more opportunities for young people to realize their potential, master new technologies, and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s agricultural sector.
