On October 5, 2026, in Hanoi, C.P. Vietnam attended the Vietnam Corporate Sustainability Forum (VCSF) 2026, themed “Breakthrough Growth – Sustainable Development: Two Goals, One Journey.”

The event brought together nearly 30 speakers and more than 300 in-person participants, with thousands more following online. Discussions focused on key issues related to business transformation and competitiveness, including innovation, green growth, green finance, policies to support businesses, and the role of the private sector in building a self-reliant and sustainable economy. The forum also featured dedicated sessions on innovation and green finance in advancing business sustainability.

VCSF is an annual forum organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), with the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) serving as its core implementing body. As a VBCSD member, C.P. Vietnam continues to participate in initiatives that promote sustainable development, foster business connections, facilitate knowledge sharing, and keep abreast of emerging trends and requirements in sustainable corporate management.

Gradually Integrating Sustainability into the Value Chain

According to Mr. Worawit Arunraksa, Sustainability Development Director of C.P. Vietnam, achieving sustainable development requires consistent efforts, transparent measurement, and collaboration among stakeholders to create long-term value for businesses, communities, and the environment.

For C.P. Vietnam, sustainability is a key strategic priority integrated into its operations and long-term development. The company is progressively translating its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments into concrete programs, targets, and initiatives across its entire organization.

Over more than 33 years of operations in Vietnam, the company has progressively adopted technology across its integrated Feed-Farm-Food system, from smart farming systems and the use of biogas and solar power to the digitalization of management and operational processes at its factories. These solutions aim to improve production efficiency, optimize resource use, and reduce environmental impacts.

A key priority for C.P. Vietnam is managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, with the goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050. In March 2026, the company officially launched the SAP Net Zero Intelligence Platform (SNIP) to support emissions data management, track progress, and gradually strengthen emissions management capabilities across the organization.

In parallel, the company continues to implement solutions involving renewable energy, solar power, biogas, energy efficiency, and water and waste management at its production facilities. C.P. Vietnam also promotes circular economy principles by increasing resource reuse, reducing waste, and progressively improving packaging to minimize environmental impacts.

Biogas systems are used in C.P. Vietnam’s livestock operations to make use of waste resources and reduce environmental impacts.

The company is also implementing a tree-planting program with a target of planting 3 million trees between 2021 and 2030. These activities aim not only to expand green spaces but also to protect ecosystems, raise environmental awareness, and encourage the participation of employees and local communities in various areas.

C.P. Vietnam also places strong emphasis on monitoring its progress. The company participates in assessments under the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI), using the criteria covering governance, the environment, labor, and society to evaluate its performance and identify areas for further improvement as it continues its sustainability journey.

Expanding Sustainable Value Across the Supply Chain and Communities

Given its focus on agriculture and food, C.P. Vietnam recognizes that sustainability must be embedded throughout the entire value chain, from production activities to relationships with employees, business partners, suppliers, customers, and communities.

Across its supply chain, the company is progressively advancing responsible sourcing, human rights, occupational safety, animal welfare, and food quality and safety. These priorities go hand in hand with efforts to improve productivity and operational efficiency, with the aim of building a responsible value chain that creates long-term value for all stakeholders.

Alongside its business operations, C.P. Vietnam continues to implement a wide range of social and environmental initiatives that address local needs. Programs covering access to clean water, healthcare, blood donation, education, environmental protection, tree planting, and community support are maintained with the participation of the company’s employees, business partners, and local communities.

From initiatives at individual factories and farms to programs implemented in local communities, C.P. Vietnam aims to translate its sustainability goals into concrete actions that can be monitored and sustained over the long term.

C.P. Vietnam’s participation in VCSF 2026 marks another step in this ongoing journey. By continuing to work alongside VBCSD and Vietnam’s business community, the company aims to exchange knowledge, share practical experience, foster collaboration, and contribute to the transition toward a greener, more responsible, and more sustainable economy.
