With the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand (1976–2026), a people-to-people exchange program in Dong Nai presented 300 pairs of eyeglasses and 300 gift packages to association members and elderly residents, contributing to strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

On April 25, at Trấn Biên Ward, Dong Nai City, the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, in coordination with the Vietnam–Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai City, organized a people-to-people exchange program in celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand.
The event was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee; Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Montri Suwanposri, Vice President of C.P. Vietnam Corporation and member of the Thailand–Vietnam Friendship Association; representatives of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (ThaiCham), along with leaders from departments, agencies, friendship associations, and more than 300 association members.
The program was one of Dong Nai’s people-to-people diplomatic activities marking the 50-year milestone of Vietnam–Thailand diplomatic relations, while also creating additional opportunities for interaction and exchange between the communities of both countries.
Strengthening Friendship Through Meaningful Activities
As part of the program, 300 pairs of eyeglasses and 300 gift packages were presented to association members, including many elderly participants. The activity carried meaningful value in supporting healthcare and daily living, while also reflecting the care and commitment of organizations and businesses toward the local community.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Montri Suwanposri stated that the friendship between Vietnam and Thailand is reflected not only through diplomatic milestones, but also through practical activities closely connected to people’s daily lives.
According to Mr. Montri, the eyeglass donation program is a meaningful initiative that helps support elderly people in their daily activities. “Activities such as donating eyeglasses may seem simple, but they deliver practical value and symbolize the close bonds between the peoples of our two countries,” he shared.
C.P. Vietnam Corporation Accompanies Community Activities in Dong Nai
Representatives of the Vietnam–Thailand Friendship Association of Dong Nai stated that, in recent years, cultural exchange programs, people-to-people diplomatic activities, and social welfare initiatives have contributed to building strong and lasting connections between the peoples of the two countries.

The coordination among government agencies, friendship organizations, and the business community has also played an important role in promoting Vietnam–Thailand friendship relations at the local level.
As a Thai enterprise with more than 30 years of operations in Vietnam, C.P. Vietnam Corporation affirmed that it will continue accompanying community programs, including healthcare initiatives, social welfare activities, and support programs for disadvantaged people.
Through this program, C.P. Vietnam aims to continue contributing to people-to-people diplomatic activities while spreading the spirit of sharing and social responsibility within the local communities where the company operates.
People-to-people exchange activities such as the program in Dong Nai are expected to further deepen the friendship and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Thailand, especially as the two countries move toward a new chapter of cooperation following 50 years of diplomatic relations.
