Vietnamese government welcomes C.P. Group's expanded investment in high-tech agriculture and digital transformation

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung welcomed Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont on his visit to Vietnam to discuss strategic cooperation opportunities aimed at advancing smart agriculture, food supply chains, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in corporate management, digital ecosystem development, and sustainable growth in Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Thailand is a close neighbor and an important partner of Vietnam, with the two countries sharing many common values and strategic interests. He noted that agriculture, technology, trade, and sustainable development remain key sectors with significant potential for deeper and more effective bilateral cooperation in the years ahead.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed that the Vietnamese Government welcomes long-term investment commitments from Thai enterprises, including C.P. Group, and encourages the company to continue expanding its operations in Vietnam. He acknowledged and highly appreciated C.P. Group's contributions over more than three decades in the country, particularly in the agri-food sector through its integrated 3F value chain. These efforts have contributed to strengthening food security and food safety, creating jobs, advancing livestock production, promoting value-added food processing, and supporting exports.

Speaking about Vietnam's development priorities for the next phase, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation have been identified as key drivers of economic growth. In agriculture, Vietnam is committed to developing a modern, ecological, circular, and low-emission agricultural sector by accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies, strengthening food safety and traceability, and enhancing the value of agricultural products.

In line with these priorities, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that C.P. Group will continue to partner with Vietnam by expanding its investment in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. He highlighted high-tech agriculture, smart farming, low-emission production, and advanced traceability solutions as priority areas that can help enhance the productivity, quality, and global competitiveness of Vietnam's agricultural sector.

Expressing his appreciation to the Vietnamese Government for its longstanding support over the past three decades, Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, Chairman of C.P. Group, said the company has consistently pursued growth by integrating advanced technologies into every aspect of its operations.

He noted that, from farm design to the implementation of new projects, C.P. Group has accelerated the adoption of digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and other advanced solutions to optimize energy use, enhance productivity, improve product quality, and create greater value. At the same time, the Group continues to invest in renewable and clean energy, promote resource circularity, and apply cutting-edge technologies to advance modern and sustainable agriculture.

Mr. Soopakij reaffirmed C.P. Group's commitment to supporting Vietnam's transition toward a modern, smart, and sustainable agricultural sector. He expressed the Group's intention to deepen collaboration in digital transformation, AI, high-tech agriculture, and green production solutions, contributing to the continued development of Vietnam's agriculture and broader economy.

Welcoming C.P. Group's long-term vision, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed his hope that the Group would further expand its investment and cooperation in areas that align with both its strengths and Vietnam's development priorities.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the Vietnamese Government's commitment to creating a favorable business environment for foreign investors, including C.P. Group, enabling them to invest, operate, and achieve long-term success in Vietnam.
