On the morning of November 5th, 2025, C.P. Vietnam Corporation in collaboration with the Forest Management Board under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Vinh Long province held a launching ceremony for a mangrove reforestation project covering 5 hectares in Thoi Thuan commune, Vinh Long province. The event was attended by representatives from the Forest Management Board, local authorities, and more than 50 C.P. Vietnam volunteers from nearby branches.
The ceremony marked an important milestone in expanding the project “ C.P. Vietnam - Journey for a greener Vietnam”, initiating a mangrove reforestation project covering 5 hectares in Thoi Thuan commune, Vinh Long province, with a care and growth plan spanning 2025-2029. The project aims to restore and enhance the marine coastal ecosystem, creating a natural “green shield” to prevent erosion, protect dikes, infrastructure, and local livelihoods. It also contributes to preserving aquatic habitats and mitigating climate change.

During the event, representatives and volunteers joined hands to plant the first Sonneratia caseolaris trees, a beginning for a new chapter in greening Vietnam’s landscape. Beyond the act of planting trees, the program spreads a strong message of community responsibility and environmental awareness among all participants.

The activity in Vinh Long continues C.P. Vietnam’s ongoing successful efforts. Since 2021, the company has collaborated with local authorities to plant, enclose, and promote the regeneration of 55 hectares of protective forest and more than 31.200 scattered trees. Currently, over 220.000 trees are being nurtured and growing well, a testament to C.P. Vietnam’s long-term commitment to accompanying the Government on its journey toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

The year 2025 marks a major milestone of the completion of the goal to plant one million trees across six provinces of the project “C.P. Vietnam – Journey for a Greener Vietnam”. This success is the result of joint efforts among businesses, local authorities, and communities - all working together toward a green, sustainable, and prosperous Vietnam.

Through this initiative, C.P. Vietnam aims to make a meaningful contribution to environmental protection efforts, restore mangrove ecosystems, and inspire the community to take “green actions” moving toward a future where people and nature coexist in harmony.
