For more than 30 years, C.P. Vietnam Corporation has considered Dong Nai its home. As the locality enters a new phase of development, the company affirmed its commitment to continuing innovation and pursuing green, sustainable growth alongside the city.
April 30, 2026 marked an important milestone in Dong Nai’s development journey as the locality officially became Vietnam’s seventh centrally governed city. This transformation represents not only a change in administrative status, but also a major step forward following the merger process, opening up new development opportunities for one of the country’s most dynamic industrial hubs and a key driver within the Southern Key Economic Region.

For the business community in Dong Nai, the locality’s new status creates additional growth opportunities while also requiring stronger innovation to meet the higher standards of a centrally governed urban area. For C.P. Vietnam Corporation in particular, more than 30 years of investment and the establishment of its headquarters in the locality have laid the foundation for the company to accompany Dong Nai on its path toward prosperous and sustainable development.
Confidence Built Through Long-Term Commitment
Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, Chief Executive Officer of C.P. Vietnam, shared that more than 30 years ago, when the company first invested in Vietnam, it chose Dong Nai as the location for its initial foundations.

Starting from the animal feed business, C.P. Vietnam gradually expanded into farming operations and later developed its processed food segment. The company currently operates under the integrated Feed–Farm–Food model, managing the entire value chain from inputs to finished products. This serves as the foundation for ensuring product quality, consistency, and long-term sustainable development.
According to Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, through many years of operating in the locality, C.P. Vietnam has witnessed Dong Nai’s positive, continuous, and sustainable development. Dong Nai’s elevation to a centrally governed city further reinforces its role as one of Vietnam’s most dynamic economic centers, attracting increasing interest from both domestic and international investors.
From a foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprise standpoint, representatives of C.P. Vietnam noted that when selecting investment locations in Vietnam, investors often consider factors such as market scale, infrastructure, connectivity, and the overall investment environment. Therefore, Dong Nai’s new status is expected to strengthen its visibility and attract greater attention from the international business community.

In addition, the expansion of development space following the merger has created greater opportunities for Dong Nai to reorganize resources and further develop transportation and logistics infrastructure. These factors are important in helping businesses optimize operating costs, expand production, and participate more deeply in regional and global value chains.
Innovating to Meet New Development Requirements
Becoming a centrally governed city also means higher expectations in areas such as industrial development, environmental standards, quality of life, and social welfare. For C.P. Vietnam, this serves as a driving force to continue transforming its operations through greater technology adoption, green production development, and a transition toward a circular economy model.

Many of C.P. Vietnam’s products already meet the requirements of high-standard markets such as Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Among them, the CPV Food livestock and export-oriented chicken processing complex stands as a prime example of a fully integrated production process managed under international standards.
Alongside its production activities, C.P. Vietnam Corporation has also contributed to job creation, the development of stable livelihoods for local workers, and the advancement of a high-tech agricultural ecosystem.
Regarding future opportunities, Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit stated that whenever new projects or expansion plans arise, C.P. Vietnam will continue prioritizing investment in Dong Nai. The company’s strategic direction focuses on producing food products that meet consumer demand while increasing the application of advanced technologies to contribute to the locality’s overall development.

Vietnam to continue investing and expanding our development footprint in a sustainable direction, contributing to the shared prosperity of a modern and dynamic urban center in the future,” shared Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit.
More than 30 years of development have laid the foundation for C.P. Vietnam Corporation’s confidence in Dong Nai. The locality’s new status today also serves as motivation for the company to continue innovating, operating responsibly, and contributing to the city’s journey toward greener, more modern, and more sustainable development.
