On December 12, C.P. Vietnam Corporation (C.P. Vietnam) hosted the “2024 Capacity Building” under the theme “Innovation for the Environment: The Role of Supply Chain Partners.” This annual event aims to enhance competitiveness and foster the sustainable development of C.P. Vietnam’s supplier ecosystem.

The conference was attended by Ms. Đặng Thị Thùy Dương, Deputy Head of the Environment Division of the Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment; members of C.P. Vietnam’s leadership; and more than 80 suppliers - valued partners who have played a vital role in the company’s development.

In his remarks at the conference, Mr. Chamnam Wangakkarangkul, Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Sustainable Development Council of C.P. Vietnam, stated: “C.P. Vietnam consistently places strong emphasis on the application of technology in production to enhance product quality and service standards, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction. We clearly recognize that suppliers are a critical link in the supply chain and a key driver of success. Therefore, we firmly believe that long-term and sustainable success must be built on a foundation of social and environmental responsibility throughout the entire course of cooperation between C.P. Vietnam and its suppliers.”

In addition to presentations on “Implementing Sustainable Development and Orienting the Construction of a Green Supply Chain” by the Corporate Sustainable Development Office, and “C.P. Group’s Environmental Sustainability Goals and Typical Environmental Solutions Across Business Sectors” by the Health, Safety, Environment, and Energy Department, the conference also featured valuable and practical insights from Ms. Đặng Thị Thùy Dương, Deputy Head of the Environment Division, Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Her sharing helped C.P. Vietnam’s partners gain a clearer understanding of government policies, as well as identify more concrete approaches to environmental protection in their production and business operations.

The “2024 Capacity Building” concluded successfully. The event was regarded as a valuable opportunity to further strengthen long-term partnerships between C.P. Vietnam and its suppliers, while also supporting suppliers in expanding business opportunities with other leading partner organizations, particularly in a context where responsible business practices toward society and the environment are increasingly emphasized.
