Located in Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City, the C.P. Cu Chi Plant has been in operation since 2016, covering an area of over 63,000 square meters. By 2026, the plant is expected to reach a production capacity of 33,000 tons—nearly a tenfold increase compared to its initial capacity in 2016. The facility is equipped with modern, internationally standardized production lines and manufactures more than 150 product varieties for consumers. Its key product categories include pasteurized sausages, sterilized sausages, processed foods, and dim sum items such as dumplings and steamed buns. Among these, products like sausages and steamed buns have become familiar, convenient choices, meeting the increasingly diverse nutritional needs of millions of Vietnamese households.
Responsible Production Practices, Creating Sustainable Livelihoods
The C.P. Cu Chi Plant operates with modern, highly automated production lines across multiple stages. From raw material handling to processing and packaging, the system is designed to minimize direct human contact, while integrating inspection technologies such as automatic weighing, metal detection, and X-ray systems to ensure strict quality control prior to distribution.
The plant has also implemented various solutions to optimize resource use throughout its operations. Its rooftop solar power system, covering more than 9,100 m² with a capacity of nearly 1.9 MWp, currently generates approximately 1,650 kW of electricity for on-site use, contributing to a reduction of around 17% in monthly electricity consumption. In parallel, packaging redesign initiatives have helped reduce plastic usage, with some product lines eliminating plastic trays altogether. In recognition of these efforts, the plant was awarded the Industrial Energy Efficiency Award by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2022, and received the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Award from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade in 2023.
From an initial workforce of just over 200 employees at the time of establishment, the number of employees at the C.P. Cu Chi Plant has now increased fivefold. Having been with the plant since 2016, Ms. Tran Da Thuc Quyen from the Quality Control Department shared: “After 10 years, what I feel most strongly is a sense of pride, connection, and growth. What the plant has achieved today is the result of the collective efforts of the entire team throughout this journey.”
