The event, organized by the Packaging Recycling Organization Vietnam (PRO Vietnam), took place on June 12, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together government agencies, businesses, recycling companies, and organizations working in the fields of environmental protection and circular economy.

The conference served as a platform for stakeholders to exchange experiences, explore emerging trends and technologies in packaging recycling, and discuss solutions to enhance the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) while strengthening circular packaging systems in Vietnam.

Overview of the Conference

Enhancing solutions to reduce single-use packaging in production

In line with its sustainable development strategy, C.P. Vietnam has been progressively implementing various initiatives to optimize packaging use and minimize environmental impacts across its operations. In the animal feed business, alongside conventional bagged products, the company is gradually transitioning to a bulk feed transportation and storage system using specialized tanker trucks and silo facilities. This approach significantly reduces plastic packaging waste generated during the transportation of raw materials and feed to farms while improving operational efficiency.

C.P. Vietnam shares solutions spanning design, production, and recycling to reduce packaging waste and promote efficient resource utilization.

In addition, C.P. Vietnam continues to optimize packaging design by reducing package size and material usage while maintaining product quality and preservation standards. The company is also exploring and adopting environmentally friendly materials tailored to different product categories across its value chain.

At the exhibition area, C.P. Vietnam showcased its sustainable packaging strategy and circular economy initiatives currently being implemented in production activities. These efforts contribute to reducing plastic consumption, minimizing waste generation, and improving resource efficiency throughout the value chain.

C.P. Vietnam’s exhibition booth attracts strong interest from participants with initiatives aimed at reducing packaging waste.

Advancing sustainable packaging across the integrated Feed - Farm - Food value chain

Alongside technical solutions, C.P. Vietnam also places strong emphasis on promoting responsible consumption through communication campaigns, waste segregation awareness programs, and environmental education initiatives conducted in collaboration with schools and local communities.

Products made from recycled materials are showcased at the exhibition booth, helping promote the message of efficient resource use and waste reduction.

These initiatives form part of the company’s sustainable packaging strategy, supporting its goal that by 2030, 100% of C.P.’s food packaging will be recyclable, reusable, or recoverable, in line with circular economy principles and sustainable development objectives.

Through the conference, C.P. Vietnam had the opportunity to share practical experiences, stay updated on emerging trends and innovations in packaging recycling, and strengthen collaboration with businesses, recycling companies, and industry organizations. The solutions being implemented across the company’s integrated value chain demonstrate its commitment to reducing packaging waste, improving resource efficiency, and progressively advancing circular economy practices throughout its operations.
