Improving access to safe water for more than 600 students in Vinh Long

The project helps improve drinking and daily-use water conditions for the school's students and teachers, continuing the "Clean Water for Children" journey that C.P. Vietnam has accompanied since 2025.

On September 23, 2026, C.P. Vietnam, together with local authorities and accompanying partners, held a handover ceremony for a drilled well and water filtration system at An Thoi Secondary School, Thanh Thoi Commune, Vinh Long Province. The project helps improve drinking and daily-use water conditions for the school's students and teachers, continuing the "Clean Water for Children" journey that C.P. Vietnam has accompanied since 2025.

Helping to Improve Daily Water Conditions at the School

According to local representatives, An Thoi Secondary School is located in an area affected by the distinctive water conditions of the river region: during the dry season, the area is at risk of saltwater intrusion, while during the rainy season, surface water can become turbid and polluted due to tidal surges and runoff. This was one of the reasons the program selected the school as a site to implement a water facility for daily use.

The construction of a drilled well combined with a water filtration system aims to supplement the water supply for the regular needs of students and teachers, helping to improve living conditions right at the school.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Ratthaphon Silakun, Manager of the C.P. Ben Tre Aquafeed Mill and representative of C.P. Vietnam, said that the company's participation in the program stems from a desire to help create better conditions for students to take care of their health and study with peace of mind as they grow.

The activity is also linked to the "Three Benefits for Sustainability" philosophy that C.P. Vietnam has pursued throughout more than 30 years of operation in Vietnam, aiming to create value for the community and society through practical local initiatives.

Once handed over and put into use, the facility serves the daily drinking and living water needs of 628 students and the teaching staff of An Thoi Secondary School. According to the implementation plan, the facility includes a drilled well, a pumping system, water filtration equipment, an RO membrane, filter columns, and a water collection area, forming a complete water supply system within the school grounds.

The addition of a water facility at the school helps create more convenient conditions for students and teachers in their daily activities, especially during periods when the local water source is affected by weather and environmental conditions.

In addition to the facility handover, the program also presented 100 gifts to disadvantaged students at An Thoi Secondary School. The gifts were given ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing extra joy and encouragement to the students as they begin the new school year.

Continuing the "Clean Water for Children" Journey

"Clean Water for Children" is a community project that C.P. Vietnam has accompanied since 2025. From Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai to Vinh Long, the program has gradually reached schools facing difficulties with daily water sources, through concrete facilities that directly serve students and teachers.

In addition to building the facilities, the project also places importance on maintenance after handover. According to the implementation plan, the systems are operated and maintained with the participation of local units, while water quality is regularly tested to ensure long-term effectiveness.

Through each school, the "Clean Water for Children" project aims to gradually improve daily water conditions, helping to create a more convenient learning environment and accompanying students on their journey of learning and development.
