On August 18, 2026, in Dong Nai City, C.P. Vietnam Corporation (C.P. Vietnam) and Mr. Pawalit Ua-amornwanit, CEO of C.P. Vietnam, were honored by the Dong Nai City People’s Committee with certificates of Merit in recognition of their contributions to socio-economic development and the promotion of cooperation between Dong Nai and Thai partners during the 2021–2026 period. The recognition ceremony was held as part of the celebration marking the 50th anniversary of Vietnam–Thailand diplomatic relations (06/8/1976 - 06/8/2026).

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai City People’s Committee; Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul-General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Pawalit Ua-amornwanit, CEO of C.P. Vietnam Corporation; as well as representatives of local departments and agencies, friendship organizations, and the Thai business community in Dong Nai.

The event provided an opportunity to look back on five decades of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand, while also highlighting new directions for cooperation as the two countries upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025.

As part of the ceremony, the Dong Nai City People’s Committee presented Certificates of Merit to organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in socio-economic development and contributions to promoting cooperation between Dong Nai and Thai partners during the 2021–2026 period. C.P. Vietnam was among the enterprises honored at the event.

More than 30 years of commitment to Dong Nai

For C.P. Vietnam, Dong Nai holds a special place in the company’s development journey in Vietnam. In 1993, C.P. officially began investing in Vietnam, choosing Dong Nai as the location for its first animal feed mill and establishing the company’s head office there.

Building on these early foundations in Dong Nai, C.P. Vietnam gradually expanded its operations under the integrated Feed - Farm - Food system, spanning animal feed production, farming and food processing. Today, Dong Nai remains one of C.P. Vietnam’s key locations, home to many of the company’s important mills, farms and production and business operations.

In 2025 alone, C.P. Vietnam settled nearly VND 1.6 trillion in taxes to the state budget in Dong Nai. Alongside its business operations, the company continues to promote the application of science and technology, digital transformation, higher production standards, efficient resource use, and sustainable practices across its entire value chain.

After more than three decades of partnership, the relationship between C.P. Vietnam and Dong Nai extends beyond the scale of investment to job creation, human resource development, support for farmers, and a range of community initiatives in the locality.

Contributing to Vietnam - Thailand cooperation

After 50 years of diplomatic relations, Vietnam-Thailand ties have continued to expand across various areas, from politics, trade and investment to culture and people-to-people exchanges. In particular, the elevation of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025 has created a new foundation for closer cooperation in the years ahead.

In Dong Nai, Thai businesses have had a presence since an early stage and have made significant contributions to the province’s economic development. According to information shared at the anniversary ceremony, Thai investors currently have 88 projects in Dong Nai with total registered investment of more than USD 1.9 billion, spanning sectors including processing and manufacturing, retail, chemicals, mechanical engineering, plastics, and agriculture and food.

As a subsidiary of Thailand’s Charoen Pokphand Group with more than 30 years of operations in Vietnam, C.P. Vietnam sees its growth as closely connected to creating long-term value for local communities. Through investment, production, job creation, sustainable development and social responsibility initiatives, the company aims to make practical contributions to Dong Nai’s development while further strengthening the increasingly close ties between Vietnam and Thailand.

CPV Food Binh Phuoc integrated chicken processing complex for export in Dong Nai currently operates with modern technology and has a capacity of approximately 1 million birds per week for export.
